A ready-to-wear designer based in Beirut, Roni Helou was born in Lebanon in 1992. In 2016, and upon his graduation from Creative Space Beirut – a free, progressive fashion school that offers design education – Roni showcased his collections in Dubai for two seasons with Starch Foundation.

Roni was awarded the Boghossian Foundation Fashion Prize in 2017, which offered a residency at Villa Empain in Brussels. In addition to this, Roni’s previous collections were displayed at Les Nouveaux Créateurs in Paris as part of Exposition Mode Émergente du Monde Arabe, co-curated by Institut du Monde Arabe and Fashion Forward Dubai.

A finalist at the 2019 edition of the International Fashion Showcase (IFS) in London, Roni had the opportunity to exhibit his FW19 collection at London Fashion Week in February. More recently, Roni was named winner of the ready-to-wear category at the first ever Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) competition held in Qatar in March of last year. Furthermore, the brand’s SS20 and RH’20/21 collections were exhibited respectively at Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks.

Sustainability, free education and human and animal rights are at the heart of the RONI HELOU brand. The team works to uphold these values in everything they do, from sampling to production and everything in between.

RONI HELOU has been featured in prominent international publications, such as The New York Times, Vogue US, British Vogue, Vogue Arabia, Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Elle India, WWD, The Business of Fashion, Wallpaper, DAZE, i-D and HUNGER TV.

Engaging in methods of sustainability and local action, RONI HELOU is a brand for a proactive generation. We create forward and androgynous ready-to-wear pieces while shedding light on social and environmental issues, and maintaining a system that preserves values of eco-friendliness and ethical practices.

We source our materials from vintage and/or dead stocks and by doing so, we discover beautiful, quality materials. We also support our local Lebanese community by producing and working exclusively with tailors and artisans from all over the country.
