The new generation of international designers selected by Vogue Talents will be showcasing their collections in Dubai.
The brands selected by Vogue Talents will present their collections during Arab Fashion Week for the project that links the Vogue Italia platform dedicated to new-generation designers to one of the most internationally recognised fashion weeks. The event, established in 2015, is organised by the Arab Fashion Council, the body that represents the fashion world for the 22 Arab countries stretching from the north of Africa to the Levant and the Arabian Gulf. The next edition, which will be held from 9 to 13 October in Dubai, confirms its position as an important opportunity for regional and international brands contributing to the development of the fashion industry in the Middle East. The selected designers – Daniele Carlotta from Italy, Dhruv Kapoor from India, Hussein Bazaza from Lebanon and Nora Al Shaikh from Saudi Arabia – will bring the creations of their namesake brands to the runway during a dedicated day within the official calendar of the Arab Fashion Week. Sara Sozzani Maino, head of Vogue Talents, will also meet local designers for a portfolio review. “We are very proud to see the event evolving into an international attraction that hosts brands, media and buyers from all over the world,” says Jacob Abrian, founder and chief executive of the Arab Fashion Council. “It’s such a pleasure to collaborate with Vogue Talents to feature selected international designers in the official calendar, with a special day set aside for them to present their collections.” Mohammed Aqra, the Arab Fashion Council’s head of partnerships, adds: “It is an absolutely superb platform for designers around the globe to showcase their prowess. This year’s event is expected to be disruptive.”
