Dhruv Kapoor
Indian designer Dhruv Kapoor graduates from Istituto Marangoni, before joining Etro’s womenswear design team. Moving back to India in late 2013, he founds his own label and showcases his first capsule collection in 2014. The following year the brand is awarded the Vogue India Fashion fund in 2015, declaring it as the best emerging design talent from the country. In 2017, the designer is listed as one of the 50 most influential young Indians by GQ India and in 2018 he is one of the finalists of Scouting for India. By weaving empowerment into the fabric of the label, the brand has always had the aim to break the archaic rules of gender. Now, the focus is on the advancement of the global developmental agenda.

“The collection on show in Dubai boasts a mix of varied forms, cultures and traditions exploring multiple dimensions through fabrics, prints, trims and handcrafted embellishment. There is a rebellious core to the collection, coming from the 60’s. The muses of my brand are decisive and true to themselves, aware and focused. Most of all, they are “fearless”, embracing change and living through challenges. Each look on the catwalk has an effortless approach where multiple concepts- contradictory, old and new – come together to build a new aesthetic that is free from all restraints, political or social. It is a progressive approach to contemporary society. Dubai, in general, houses multiple nationalities and is forever bustling with energy- showing in a city like Dubai brings us closer to expanding in the Middle East. One of the biggest markets in the world and there is no better way to tap into it than through this combination of Arab Fashion Week and the genius of Vogue Italia.”
