INFORMATION

1422 Dubai is the world’s first Ready Couture store opened in Citywalk, Dubai with a Ready-Couture license by the Arab Fashion Council the global owner of the term Ready Couture.

1422 Dubai is a permanent concept store that features brands collection from around the world in the category of Haute Couture, Ready-Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Sustainable Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, Fragrance, and Cosmetics. The store is set attracts mainly UHNWI from around the GCC area, China and Russia.

Space:

The designers could rent the space per rack; from a min of 1 rack to a max of 5 racks.

Opening Hours:

From 10 am to 10 pm, the designers are not required to be present at the space at all the time.

Management:

1422 Dubai is a fully managed space by AFC Department Store LLC, where the sales representatives, branding, visual merchandising, loyalty program, and payment system is fully provided by the management.

Personalization of the space:

The visual merchandise at 1422 Dubai is managed and designed by the management, thus the personalization is not permitted.

APPLICATION RULES

REQUIREMENTS:

Having either of the following: Haute Couture, Ready Couture, Ready-to-Wear collection or Accessories and Lifestyle items.
The products price range should be competitive to ensure better performance and results. We suggest a price range of 200$ to 2000$ per item.
Be established in the fashion industry for more than 2 years

APPLICATION PROCESS

PHASE I – APPLICATION PROCESS

FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION
Please note that incomplete application will not be taken into consideration so make sure to fill all the fields. The application might take from 10-15 minutes.

PHASE II – COMMITTEE JUDGEMENT

Once we receive the application, our jury will process the candidature and notify the designer if he/she has been shortlisted.
During this phase, the designers might be asked to support their application with additional information and references, as well as send a few samples to be sent to the Arab Fashion Council’s office.

PHASE III – APPROVAL

Once the applicant has passed phase two it means that he/she is qualified to be of the pop-up exhibition.

The Arab Fashion Council will send the designer an agreement to be signed and sent back by email with the receipt of payment of the participation fees of the selected package. Upon request, the designer has the right to ask to divide the payment into 2 installments. All the amounts should be paid completely by 20 February 2019.

BUDGET – UNDERSTANDING THE COSTS

Organizing a fashion show is an expensive procedure; bear in mind that the minimum budget required starts from 5000$/sqm for accessories to 15,000$ per rack for couture collection excluding 5% VAT.
