KUNI was founded on one conviction: a woman should never have to become someone else to
feel beautiful. The name is the philosophy. In Arabic, kuni means
“be”. A simple word that carries a powerful message: be who you are, and be who you dream
of becoming.
Every woman is different. Some enter a room quietly and leave an unforgettable presence.
Others command attention from the moment they arrive. KUNI does not decide which she should be.
Each piece is designed not to define the woman who wears it, but to give her the freedom to
define herself. It becomes part of her presence.
It does not overpower her. It reveals her.
About Sara Mousa
Sara Mousa is an architect, a fashion designer, and the founder and creative director of KUNI, a couture house based in Abu Dhabi.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and built her career in architecture, interior
design and creative direction. That work gave her a precise eye for proportion, material and
detail. Couture was the next step, and a more personal one. After years of shaping the spaces people move through, she began shaping what they wear: pieces that become part of who they are.
For Sara, the two disciplines rest on the same foundation. Both begin with an idea, take form through proportion, and end by changing how a person feels
